Registering for the 4 Year EANS Course
All neurosurgical trainees are encouraged to participate in the 4 year training course offered by the European Association of Neurosurgical Societies EANS. The number of trainees from Switzerland is limited, so not everyone will be able to participate. The course is not mandatory for the FMH Neurochirurgie. Currently our national delegate is Prof. Hans Landolt. In order to register for the course, applicants must download the application form from the EANS website and send the completed form to:

Prof. Dr. med. Hans Landolt
Kantonsspital Aarau AG
Neurochirurgische Klinik
5001 Aarau
hans.landolt@ksa.ch

Registering for the MCQ EANS Exam
The first part of the FMH Neurochirurgie is a written multiple choice exam held twice a year by the EANS. The exam is usually taken by EANS course trainees in their fourth year. But the exam may be taken by any trainee, regardless of course participation or not, upon separate registration.

Registering for the Oral Exam
The second part of the FMH Neurochirurgie is an oral exam which is usually held once a year around March/April. Trainees must be in their final year of specialisation and have completed the MCQ EANS exam successfully prior to registering for the oral exam.
