The SYNS offers up to four annual training courses and serves as an open platform for resident doctors to exchange experiences and represent their interests at national and international levels.

Join the SYNS Basic Lumbar Spine Course on April 02-03, 2027, designed for neurosurgeons and orthopedic surgeons eager to enhance their expertise in lumbar spine surgery.

This hands-on course covers essential techniques, including lumbar microdiscectomy, laminectomy for spinal stenosis, and TLIF with cage implantation, with and without navigation.

Led by a distinguished faculty, participants will gain practical skills in small-group sessions with cadaveric models.

10. - 11.09.2027: SYNS Cervical Spine Course

We are pleased to invite neurosurgical residents and young consultants to our upcoming SYNS Cervical Spine Course in Bern, a unique opportunity to learn, share, and refine surgical skills together.

Over two intensive days, participants will work closely with an expert faculty of spine surgeons, combining theory and practice in an immersive educational setting.

Hands-on cadaver workshop for Neurosurgery Residents on 08.10.2027 and 09.10.2027 in Bern.

Venue: Institut für Anatomie, Baltzerstrasse 2, 3012 Bern

Participants: Places are limited to 20 participants

Fee: CHF 750.- full course

Included in the fee: participation in theoretical part and practical hands-on course, material including a 3D skull model and social dinner on October 8th.
