Joint SYNS | SYNR Science Slam 2026

For the first time a joint SYNS | SYNR Science Slam Presentation is taking place at the Joint Annual Meeting SSNS of the Swiss Society of Neurosurgery (SSNS) and Swiss Society of Neuroradiology (SSNR) on Thursday, 29 October 2026 in St. Gallen.

Goal of the session: to review key literature relevant to clinical practice and prepare for the FMH exam. Applicants may choose one of the following presentation slots:

15:30 – 15:45 - Neurosurgical Pills on Low-Grade Gliomas
16:00 – 16:15 - Neurosurgical Pills on Chronic Subdural Hematomas

Applicants are requested to submit the following:

1. Year of training - As a resident or young consultant
2. Oral presentation experience(s) - Previous congress oral presentation and/or oral ePoster presentation. Specify when, where and what you presented.
3. Motivation statement - Why should we choose you? (Maximum 150 words)
4. Draft presentation of the selected topic, including:
   - 3 - 4 milestone papers that you want to present on the topic.
     Papers that every young neurosurgeon/neuroradiologist should know.
   - Emphasis on relevance for daily clinical practice and FMH examinations
